30 Dec 2008

DogCars.com, the automotive and travel Web site for dog-lovers, announces the selection of the Dodge Grand Caravan as the DogCars.com Best in Show DogCar of the Year for 2008. Winners were also named in eight other categories, include Best Wagon, Best Small, Midsize and Luxury SUVs, Best Compact and Best Green vehicles, with winners from 17 different brands. Last year’s DogCars.com Best In Show was the Honda Element, and the Toyota Venza was named the "one to watch" for next year.

Twin Falls, Idaho (PRWEB) December 30, 2008 -- dogcars.com, the automotive and travel Web site for dog-lovers, announces the selection of the Dodge Grand Caravan as the DogCars.com Best in Show DogCar of the Year.

Chrysler’s stalwart minivan is the second Best In Show winner, following last year’s inaugural champion, the Honda Element, which continues to be one of the dominant dogs in canine carrying.

Created by "Good Morning America" veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker and his writing partner, the syndicated columnist, book author and petconnection.com blogger Gina Spadafori, DogCars.com is the leading resource for dog lovers who take their pets on the road with them. DogCars.com reviewers drive all potentially pet-friendly models and evaluate them based on key features dog-lovers adore.

DogCars.com also announced the top DogCar in each of eight vehicle categories.

In the Green category, the Toyota Highlander hybrid was the DogCars.com choice for cleaner and more fuel-efficient ride. DogCars.com lists the Toyota Venza as the DogCar to watch for 2009.

"With the pet products industry topping $41 billion in annual sales, automakers are sitting up and taking notice of this pup-passionate, car-buying public," said Dr. Becker, co-authored of two new books with Spadafori, "The Ultimate Dog Lover" and "The Ultimate Cat Lover."
