America’s most reliable car donation program aims to recycle end-of-life vehicles into food, medical care, and affordable housing.

Every year, roughly 14 million cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, trailers, and recreational vehicles come off of U.S. roadways and find new life as recycled material. The automobile is the most heavily recycled consumer product in the world. Approximately 75 percent of a car’s content can be recycled, with 94 percent of ferrous metal made into new steel. The Steel Recycling Institute reports that the steel industry recycles autos at a rate near or above 100 percent, saving the equivalent of enough energy to power 18 million households.
The proceeds from just one car donation could pay for drywall for a family in need of a home, food for a starving child, shelter for a stray dog, or critical medical research.
