Tekscan, Inc. Featured on Spike TV’s Hit series, Deadliest Warrior

Tekscan’s High-Speed Pressure and force measurement system used to measure punching and kicking forces on Spike TV’s hit series Deadliest Warrior.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 24, 2009 -- Tekscan’s High-Speed I-Scan® Pressure and Force Measurement System was featured on Spike TV’s hit series, Deadliest Warrior. In the series, battles are staged between history’s greatest warriors to determine who would win if these warriors actually confronted each other.

Tekscan’s High-Speed I-Scan was used to measure the high impact forces produced by the "warriors" kicks and punches. Watch as the High-Speed I-Scan and pressure sensors were used to measure the powerful punching forces of a modern day warrior, Champion UFC fighter, Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell.

"The system is visually strong, fast to set up, easy to work with, and easily understood by viewers. It also can provide an accurate number even when punctured by the weapons. On its dying electrical signal, while being slammed full of holes -- the system came through. That says a lot about the effectiveness of the [Tekscan technology," said Tim Prokop, Show Runner/Director, Deadliest Warrior.

The Tekscan High-Speed I-Scan has been used in a variety of other impact applications including automotive crash-testing, sport equipment testing, vibration studies and martial arts.

The series will return to Spike TV with 13 new episodes beginning Spring 2010. Visit http://www.spiketv.com for complete local listings.
