Magnalight.com adds a portable cart with multiple 12 volt vapor proof lights and GFI protection for commercial, industrial and military users operating in wet areas.
(Vocus) September 25, 2009 -- Larson Electronics Magnalight added the new VPLC-112 dolly cart mounted vapor proof drop light solution for commercial, industrial and military applications. The powder coated steel cart feature no-flat pneumatic tires, 50’ of SOW cord and standard plug for a typical 120 volt outlet. The 500 watt transformer steps down the 120 volts to 12 volts for the 4 trouble (drop) lights. Each vapor proof hand trouble light is sealed from both water and vapor entry and has its own individual toggle switch for on/off operation. An integrated GFI outlet also protects the 12 volt lights, each connected to the transformer via a 50 foot cord. The base of the cart supporting the transformer sits a full 6 inches from the ground and the transformer itself is encapsulated to protect it from water entry.

The VPLC-112 vapor proof hand lamp cart is a simple way to bring all the lighting you need into a tank or vessel for cleaning. Instead of dragging individual vapor proof lights into the tank, each with a booted inline transformer on a very long cord, operators can simply wheel this into a wet area and use the lights they need quickly and neatly. With less cord on the ground, operators are less likely to damage it. We built hooks on to the frame so that operators can hang each light and the cart can then be moved to a different location. With six inches of clearance, operators can use this in very wet areas with high levels of standing water. The vapor proof lights themselves run on 12 volts low voltage and are certified for use in wet areas.
