Magnalight.com extends the offering of hunting spotlights to include red lens versions of its 12/24 volt halogen and HID version of its popular HL-85 and RL-85 spotlight series. Hunters can benefit from a red lens only hunting spotlight, because they are not continually applying and removing an extra red lens, which prevent light energy emissions and reduces the brightness and beam length.
(Vocus) October 30, 2009 -- Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com added several new hunting spotlights featuring red lens only configurations. The cigarette plug powered halogen HL-85-R spotlight and its rechargeable sibling, the RL-85-R both feature a red lens and reflector combination suited for hunting and spotting. While those hunting lights are equipped with a 100 watt halogen bulb for 900 feet of working beam, the HL-85-HID-R is equipped with a 35 watt, 3200 lumen ballast and bulb combination. This High Intensity Discharge (HID) spotlight is also equipped with a red lens and reflector combination and projects a 3000 foot working beam. The HID light and the halogen lights feature detachable 16 foot coil cords with stout cigarette plugs. The RL-85-R includes a lithium ion battery, for 50 minutes of run time without the hassles of memory related issues of other types of batteries. Like the clear lens, white versions, including the HL-85, HL-85-HID and RL-85, the entire line of Magnalight hunting spotlights operates on 12 and 24 volts DC and offer spotlight and floodlight operation by simply twisting the lens to adjust the beam.

The operator can twist the lens to adjust the beam from a long distance spotlight beam to a short, wide floodlight beam. By removing the red lens/reflector head, the can still swap it with a clear lens head for traditional utility spotlight activities. The removable PMB-4 permanent mount base and the HL/RUL-8-MM magnetic mount base add utility to these Magnalight spotlights. Basically, we have a highly configurable spotlight that can meet most any operator’s needs from soldier, to utility service provider to avid predator or varmint hunter.
