Three Programmable PLLs, 8 LVCMOS Clock Outputs, 1.8V~3.3V Operation, Lowest Power, With Smallest Footprint
Fremont, California (PRWEB) October 26, 2008 -- PhaseLink Corporation, a leader in frequency source generation and the inventor of the Analog Frequency Multiplier (industry’s best performing clock IC), and PicoPLL (world’s smallest and lowest power programmable clocks) today announced the availability of the newest member of PhaseLink’s extensive PicoPLL clock family, PL613-XX.
PhaseLink’s PL613 family is the world’s lowest power, smallest footprint, and best performing 3-PLL programmable clock. This family offers up to 200MHz output from a reference or low-frequency crystal input, low period jitter, eight (8) unique clock outputs with optional individual OE or a Master OE, Power down option feature that consumes <10µA, when activated, and three (3) output buffer drives to select from to accommodate high frequency signal requirements. In addition, each IC can be pre-programmed to allow for cycling through four (4) user-defined programmed configurations or just switching the frequency on a single output pin only, to meet performance requirements of various system level industry standards. The PL613 family is housed in a 10-pin MSOP, 16-pin QFN, 8-pin SOP, or 16-pin (T)SSOP GREEN/RoHS compliant packages.

PL613 family is ideal for applications such as Triple Play Modem, Personal Navigation Devices (PND), FemtoCells, Digital Televisions (DTV), Multi-Function Printers (MFP), consumer electronics/portable devices, Routers and other communication products, and any application where performance, power, space savings, and cost are important.
With a flexible input (Crystal input from 10MHz to 50MHz, Reference Clock input from 5MHz to 200MHz) and outputs from 1MHz to 200MHz, the PL613 family has the configurability to meet the most demanding timing requirements. The PL613 has three programmable PLLs and up to 8 LVCMOS outputs all housed in a small 3 x 3mm 16-pin QFN GREEN/RoHS package. The flexible architecture of the PL613 includes four pins that are able to be configured as Output Enable (OE) or Clock Outputs allowing for configurations with four distinct frequencies, each having individual Output Enable control. One pin can also be programmed as a master Power Down pin (PDB) that puts the device into Sleep Mode with <10uA of current consumption.

The PL613 is available for sampling and production use. Offered in GREEN/RoHS compliant TSSOP-16 and QFN-16 (3 x 3mm) packages, the PL613 is priced at $1.50 in moderate quantities.
