Are you thinking "how am I going to sell my car?" Many people do and every time I think of how I am going to sell my car, I first think of where I am going to sell my car. There are various options open to the car seller. Many local used car dealers will thoroughly inspect a potential seller's car and offer an amount. The first rule is to always use pictures in your ad. A car is three times more likely to be sold if there is a picture. Think if you were the buyer, would you even contact a seller if there was not a picture of the product? Probably not. Also do not use just any old photo. Photos after of your car after it has drudged through miles of mud is not the best photo nor are the photos of your car right after it got a ding or bang. Think wisely. You may even want to take photos just for the purpose of the ad. Take the photos at a good angle and make sure that you have cleaned the car inside and out.



The second golden rule is use keywords and key phrases. Think of the commercials you watch on television. All the commercials with catchy phrases always make you think of the product, right? Use the same method if you want to sell your car. Say something that appeals to the buyer such as low gas mileage, safety, custom designs, etc.



The next rule is very important. Selling your car is all about the money. You want the most you can get while the buyer wants your car for the least amount. The best thing to do is to research similar cars to yours on the internet and come up with a ball park number. Also include or your best offer in the add because then the buyer knows you are at least up to negotiation and although the potential buyer may not be interested in the price you listed, he or she will still call because you are open for discussion. It could be a few hundred dollars that separate you from selling your car to this buyer.



The fourth rule is to advertise. Even though its online, how do the people around you every day know its online? If you have a for sale sign on your car, add the website address where you listed your car so that people can get the details from the website ad.



The final rule is to have with you all of the records of maintenance that you have had on your car so that the potential buyer knows the credibility and the history of the car.
