Volkswagen Car, Hybrid Volkswagen Car |
In a global recognition of the need to save on petroleum oils and gasoline and to prevent further destruction to the Earth's atmosphere and ozone layer, Volkswagen has partnered up with Sanyo in order to develop a Hybrid Volkswagen car that saves on the automobiles usage of gasoline and to use a battery powered and operated system to power the Volkswagen car in order to protect the natural environment.
The battery system that Sanyo and Volkswagen are involved with is Volkswagen's solution to full Hybrid version Volkswagen cars. This is still in the planning designs but seems to be a valid idea and option for those people looking for an answer to the petroleum problem and the never ending continued increase of gasoline prices.
Research at the Volkswagen car facilities shown that the theory of a hydrogen fuel cell car would not be able to operate which was related by Dr. Jurgen Leohold is the Chief of Research for the Dr. Jurgen Leohold company. In the future there may be improvement made upon the hydrogen fuel cell car but to date it does not function. Plug in hybrids have been yet to be discussed but could become a possibility for the Volkswagen car. To date the most popular forms of hybrid options are the so called rear engine Up!s that many car companies including Volkswagen are trying to incorporate into the new modern automobile designs and models.
Volkswagen has officially stopped creating more Volkswagen cars that are dangerous to the Earth's atmosphere. Therefore all new models that are being designed have plans to be hybrid cars operated without the use of gasoline. This was announced by Ulrich Hackenberg in the German magazine Automobilwoche. He also commented that the cars modeled after the Up! model at the Frankfurt Motorshow, would be available with partial of full hybrid options for the Volkswagen and environmentally conscious consumers.
The Volkswagen companies leader, Mr. Martin Winterkorn, has announced that Volkswagen is in the process of planning a new line of Volkswagen cars that will cater to the environment and that these cares will actually be Volkswagen's line of hybrid vehicles. Such Volkswagen models that the Volkswagen company is thinking of converting into hybrid models are Volkswagen Polo and the super successful Volkswagen Golf. They are two highly popular Volkswagen models which makes sense to convert into Volkswagen hybrid cars.
Since the majority of people are purchasing these two models, the Golf and the Polo, it means that many people more will be saving the environment and promoting hybrid cars. In the North German Volkswagen Braunschweig R and D facilities, the hybrid version of the popular Porsche and Volkswagen project car, the Touareg is in construction and the Touareg Hybrid will be available starting in 2010. |
