Chevy, Chevrolet in the European Union

Chevy cars are not just one of America's favorite cars but it is a favorite around the world. It is represented on nearly every continent. It is particularly popular in the Europe Union member nations. Chevy cars also have a long standing history in these areas of the world which will be told through this article.

The general Chevrolet Europe is the center for Chevy cars in the European Union. Chevrolet Europe is based in Zurich in Switzerland and it generally sells products from the DM Daewoo collection that have been renamed and or remodeled after. Although the European Union member nations have had this long lasting relationship with Chevy cars, there were very few Chevy car models that were available. Of these available car models, most were United States' designs which were modified to the European tastes. The cars which were available are the Chevy Alero which was designed after the Oldsmobile Alero, the Chevy Trans Sport which was a modification of the Chevy Venture and the Pontiac Trans Sport, the Chevy Camaro, the Chevy Corvette, the Chevy Blazer, the Chevy Impala V 8 Sedan and the Chevy Trail Blazer.

However, there was a change in 2005 in the European Union member state automobile industry. In 2005, the models from GM Daewoo were renamed as Chevy cars increasing the popularity or the Chevy cars in the European Union member nations. The Corvette is by far the most popular of Chevy styled car models which are available in the European Union. It has been so popular that it has been placed in its own category in the European Union Automobile industry. This was primarily due to its luxury status because Chevy cars are normally referred to as value driven cars, so a distinction had to be made for the Chevy Corvette. The Corvette is also operated by Kroymans Corporation Group. Kroymans Corporation Group is not based out of Zurich in Switzerland like the other Chevy cars, but rather it is based out of the Netherlands.

The General Motors cars that were sent to the European Union member nations were slightly changed versions of the United States' models so that they could conform to a more European style that fits the tastes of Europeans and road conditions for the Chevy cars. Nevertheless, due to globalization and outsourcing, these cars are more available in their original United States' models for those who prefer the US versions over the European versions.

The Chevy cars are very popular in the European Union. Although many German, French and Italian cars dominate the automobile industry in the European Union, the Cars from the United States have made an impact on the European Union automobile industry. And of course, the cars that have made such a strong impact, happen to be the popular Chevy cars. If you have the chance to visit any European Union member states, ou will most certainly see the US Chevy being driven around as it is a car for safety and reliability.
