Automotive Group Sales up 16% in 2008 with New Online Advertising Platform

22 Dec 2008

New marketing platform increases sales in the auto market.

Bow, NH (PRWEB) December 22, 2008 -- The Grappone Automotive Group, a five store dealer group in New Hampshire, reported record sales in 2008 despite the difficult market conditions that many car dealers have faced in 2008. While many dealers have slashed their advertising budgets and pulled back from the recessionary market, the Grappone Automotive Group have taken a bold step forward with the help of a promising new internet retailing platform called Hypercasting™.

The group began Hypercasting™ in August of 2008 with the help of Mudd Advertising™, their agency partner and the creators of the Hypercasting™ platform. That month, they were able to sell more cars than any other month in their 85 year history, setting an all-time group sales record. Emboldened by the results, they embarked on a continual program of Hypercasting™ promotions that has served them well during a particularly difficult time in the car market.

In November of 2008 the group achieved an incredible 10% increase in sales over November 2007. During that same month, most major automotive manufacturers (including GM, Ford Toyota and Honda) all registered national sales decreases of 30-40%. Since partnering with Mudd Advertising™, their sales for 2008 are up 16% over the same period in 2007. Incredibly, this success in sales came with no increase in their advertising budget.

Grappone COO Kathy Kayros reports that "Hypercasting™ has allowed us the opportunity to get our full message out there in a way that we couldn’t possibly afford to do using TV or Radio advertising."

Hypercasting™ has also enabled the group to entice customers from 50-60 miles away, whereas most dealers are only able to effectively sell to customers who live within several miles of their dealership.

The success of the Grappone Automotive Group underscores the dramatic change in automotive retailing that the internet has ignited. It demonstrates the value of embracing new marketing solutions to meet the new market challenges. Perhaps our ailing manufacturers can learn something from the entrepreneurial spirit of this small town family-owned business.
