(Vocus) June 4, 2009 -- AutomotiveXS.com, a new and growing marketplace for automotive parts and accessories, has waived fees for GM and Chrysler dealers that have lost their franchise agreements.
Those dealers can list and sell their products for free on the AutomotiveXS Exchange through July 4.
To qualify, these dealers just need to register at www.automotivexs.com/register.php and enter promotion code "AXSDEALERS."
GM recently announced that it won’t renew franchise agreements with about 1,100 dealerships when the contracts are up for renewal in late 2010, and Chrysler plans to drop nearly 800 dealerships.
Dan De Vlieger, founder of AutomotiveXS.com, said that these disenfranchised dealers will no doubt have parts and accessories lingering on store shelves.
"I believe that there are people out there looking for the parts and accessories that are gathering dust on the dealers’ shelves," he said. "I want to link some buyers with sellers and maybe we can help save some jobs at the same time."
About AutomotiveXS.com
Many car dealers, parts and accessories suppliers and catalog companies are left with overstock automotive inventory without a way to sell it. AutomotiveXS.com is a simple and low-cost way to sell these excess parts and accessories. Since its 2008 launch, AutomotiveXS.com has listed thousands of auto accessories for more than 80 car brands.
The site is in an auction and classified format, allowing sellers to easily list one or more products for sale. Buyers can browse products, bid on and watch products to see who else is bidding and at what price. There is even the option to "Buy Now" and skip the bidding process. AutomotiveXS.com is different from other auction sites in that its audience is much more targeted, selling only automotive parts and accessories. Also, the seller only pays a commission if the product sells.
