The Motorist’s Advocate....taking the scare out of costly auto repairs.

"Labor rates are just a part of how repair pricing is determined. The Mechanic-on-Duty national survey was conducted by AutoSource, LLC and was structured to differentiate between independently-owned repair facilities and repair facilities owned by new car dealerships. It is generally recognized that the latter have a slightly higher cost structure than independently-owned repair facilities. "In some states, we have labor rate data for as many as 1,500 postal zip codes. The more granular the information, the better we are able to serve the interests of our members," continued Schneider.
