15 Sep 2009

Sport Chalet and TireBuyer.com will speak about the benefits of multi-channel fulfillment from local stores at RIS Cross Channel Executive Summit

San Luis Obispo, CA (Vocus) September 15, 2009 -- Shopatron, a leading provider of multi-channel order management solutions, is proud to announce that two companies who have partnered with Shopatron are being featured at the upcoming RIS Cross Channel Executive Summit in Charleston, South Carolina. Ted Jackson, CIO of Sport Chalet, and Doug Wilson, Director of eCommerce at American Tire Distributors, will share their experiences deploying and using store inventory and location to provide enhanced delivery options to customers.

In addition, Shopatron executives will be holding a roundtable breakfast session at the conference to share in-store pickup best practices. Sean Collier, COO of Shopatron, who is one of the industry’s experts in distributed fulfillment systems, will be moderating this session at 8:00 am on Friday, October 2nd.

“We are pleased to be speaking at the RIS conference,” said Sport Chalet’s Jackson. “Shopatron has been a valuable partner for us in multiple areas of our new eCommerce experience and we’re happy to help others understand the benefits of the Coex Private Order Exchange approach to solving in-store pickup and ship-from-store. We have integrated Shopatron’s capabilities into our order flow, messaging to customers, as well as customer service."

The 3rd annual Cross-Channel Executive Summit will take place September 30th – October 2nd, 2009 at Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina. This invitation-only event combines an executive setting with an agenda focused on strategic business and technology imperatives critical to retailers operating in a multi-channel marketplace.

“We are pleased with how well the market has reacted to our unique approach to multi-channel fulfillment,” said Brian Clausen, Shopatron’s Senior Vice President of eCommerce Strategy. “Coex Private, an order exchange, makes it easy for retailers to expand delivery options to include in-store pickup, ship-to-store and ship-from-store. Utilizing local stores increases online conversion, drives foot traffic into stores and expands the pool of inventory available to fulfill online orders.”

Shopatron powers the in-store pickup and ship-from-store functionality for hundreds of online stores.
