Larson Electronics added a new line of tripod mounted LED light towers for sale or rental on magnalight.com. First responders will likely purchase the lightweight tripod mounted lights, while construction and environmental oriented operators with occasional needs may benefit from renting the LED lights periodically.
(Vocus) November 2, 2009 -- Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com announced the addition of the WALTP-L2X4 LED Light tower for portable scene lighting applications, including first responders in emergency and utility related services. The dual LED heads product 1560 lumens of light output and can be pointed is one or more directions to suit the needs of the operator. Weighing less than 8 pounds and collapsing to less than 36 inches, the WALTP-L2X4 can is easy to carry and setup, much like erecting a typical camera tripod. The LED lights are on a removable bracket mounting have a single unified cord that is terminated in a cigarette plug for a vehicle cigarette plug socket or a common “jump start” battery pack. On a typical 22 amp hour battery jump start unit, this tripod mount LED light will run for 10 continuous hours. Higher output tripod mounted LED lights are also available, including a double headed LED10W-9S models (WALTP-L2X90), producing 14,400 lumens per configuration. The portable tripod mounted LED lights offer a quiet, emission free alternative to diesel generated light towers that are easily carried and configured by a single man.
