Zhiing - a new app for iPhone and Blackberry users - sends live, turn-by-turn directions to mobile phones, so users can find friends and places effortlessly. Users message their location plus comments with just a click.

Zhiing lets mobile users send messages with live GPS coordinates to a mobile phone, so they can effortlessly find the people and places in their life. Zhiing is available now at Zhiing and the iPhone app store.
Zhiing works like this: You’re headed out to meet friends on a Saturday morning. You need directions, so you jump online to grab the address and then zhiing yourself with the browser add-on. When you open the message on your phone, you see live turn-by-turn directions displayed in text and a visual map.
On the way, you notice a garage sale with several vintage bikes. You instantly think of your friend who’s a collector. Whipping out your iPhone, you send him a zhiing telling of your cool find. Now he has a precise map of where the bikes are and replies to the zhiing "I’m on the way!"
Zhiing is the no hassle, no social network way to message a location to anybody. The user is in total control of sharing his location, all the time, because it’s up to him who he zhiings. He simply enters the contact he wants to zhiing and hits send. His friend receives a text message alert with a map to the sender’s location. If she hasn’t downloaded the app yet, she’ll receive a link to download it.
Zhiing is made by a startup called ZOS Communications. The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA and was founded in 2007. Zhiing soon will be available for other mobile platforms.
