2004 BMW 6 Series Car Review

Overall Rating 4 Stars
Description
The luxurious BMW 645Ci coupe is stunning and a much more engaging drive compared to the BMW 8 Series. When compared with other convertible vehicles in production the 645Ci convertible is unmatched.

BMW 6 Series (2004-)
Road Test
The BMW 6 Series has a V8 engine and its drive was designed as its intended looks guarantee with this in mind it does not fail to please.

The BMW 6 Series is a fairly big and heavy car but because the chassis is so well made it handles bends and turns like a light sports car. The 6 Series has a traction control system that can be switched off along with other technology for a bit of fun, but with it switched on, the car is very well behaved and complements the driver.

The interior of the BMW 6 Series is well thought out with comfortable seats a cockpit that is instinctive with a well applied scientific design and an elegant cabin. The rear seats sit two people with lots of space and there is plenty of room for luggage.

The roof of the 6 Series is a fabric one but it is so well fitted that it insulates perfectly and is almost as good as a regular hard top roof. The car has a slight shake on rough surfaces but when the roof is down the noise of the V8 engine is magnificent.

When it comes to price the BMW 6 Series is not a cheap buy, but when you compare it to other cars in its class all the way up to the Bentley Continental GT it is unsurpassable.
Positive Points
  • Muscular V8 2+2 coupe with every refinement
  • Good value alongside older Jaguar XK coupe
  • Swift performance, outstanding ride, responsive handling
Negative Points
  • Bold styling may offend conservative tastes
  • High servicing and insurance costs
  • Rear seats are too tight for adults
