2004-2005 Daewoo Lacetti Car Review

Overall Rating 3 Stars
Description
Average. This stylish hatchback is well priced and offers high levels of equipment. Despite three petrol engines it lacks a diesel (until 2005), which is a major drawback in European markets.

Daewoo Lacetti (2004-05)
Road Test
It's no Ford Focus but the Lacetti is a full-size, five-seater, with lots to offer those looking for a budget family car. Based on the same platform as the Nubira, the Lacetti's fairly roomy inside and offers a decent boot too. Its main attraction is a high specification list, with twin airbags, air conditioning and alloy wheels in most versions. The three petrol engines are lively and return average economy but the diesel option is sorely missed. On the road, the Lacetti has quite a harsh ride and this can be unsettling on bumpy urban routes. However, the price is right and Italian styling does help.
