TVR Cerbera 4.2 AJP v8 - Here we have a 1998 TVR Cerbera, with the excellent 4.2litre AJP v8 engine - fabulously powerful, extremely enjoyable and FAST. Practical Performance Car & Jeremy Clarkson reckons this is the performance bargain of the decade. Supercar fast, at the price of a Focus!
Very tastefully specified in dark green metallic paint, with black leather trim, and a flecked pattern on the cloth - not the usual purple / yellow lurid 80's spec!
Car comes with all the usual electric windows & door & boot releases, together with 16" alloy wheels [front tyres excellent, rear tyres starting to get close to limit - surprise! - if you buy at full value, we will fit 2 new Falken rear tyres before you come to collect], Sony CD stereo, airconditioning that works!, stainless steel sill cover plates, Meta alarm/immobiliser, full GAZ adjustable coilover suspension [very recently fitted by Main Dealer], a handbrake that works, and lots of attitude!
I noticed some micro blisters in a small area on the bonnet / wing when i waxed it - there is a bit of water creep between the screen laminations in 1 corner, and a small tear in the drivers seat base! There are a few stonechips on the front too, predictably, but absolutely nothing that detracts from the visual impact of this beauty! Remember, she is 10 years old!
Car is MOT tested, with a brand new clutch & serviced, ready to go !
There is a huge ream of service information & bills - we have looked after this for the customer for a couple of years now, together with Fernhurst - there are bills for new oil cooler & Gaz coilover adjustable shocks, among other things - the main thing is that it has been wonderfully reliable - has been to LeMans, and got back too! But seriously, barring a throttle position sensor [typically] when first purchased from Fernhurst Motor Co two years ago, this thing has not really missed a beat - she likes Super Plus Unleaded for best running, but hang the cost - she is such fun! Fernhurst have valued the car at £16000. The new clutch has just been fitted at Peninsula near Exeter - it is fantastic to use!
