Finished in it's original factory 'Alamo Beige' color paint with a 'Singapore Gold' hardtop with it's original factory 'Light Saddle' completely original interior and original hubcaps. Purchased from a Michigan car collector some 15 years ago by Los Angeles television producer and always garage kept and covered! The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has had no major accidents of any kind - obviously an always garaged and cherished car since new! The car looks extremely impressive in it's original factory 'Alamo Beige' color paint with a 'Singapore Gold' hardtop and the 'Light Saddle' interior which is in exceptional and completely original condition with only very minor imperfections noticeable upon close inspection; in particular there is a small nick in the fabric of the driver's door armrest! Although obviously not a concourse example, this remains a very rare and highly desirable and collectible unabused example of one of the outstanding GM designs of the sixties, the GTO option package for the Tempest created a new type of vehicle by shoehorning a big block engine into a medium sized car - the muscle car, starting a trend lasting almost ten years before the fuel crisis of 1973! With it's lightweight body and 348 horses under the hood, the 1964 GTO was unlike any other car at the time. The 389 cubic inch V8 is the centerpiece of the GTO package and with the Tri-Power carburetion of three two barrel carburetors it boasted 348 bhp. All first generation GTO's have a special place in collector's hearts as the first of the muscle car species and enjoy milestone status.

1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. First year for the ever popular Firebird. Not too many ragtops made but only a handful were equipped like this one. She is one of a few SPRINT models having a Straight Six 3.8L Single Overhead Cam with a Factory 4BL Carburetor. These OHC6 Sprint Firebirds had a hotter cam and put out 215 horse power. She scoots down the street. This Pontiac has her factory Bulge Hood, Sprint Emblems, 2-Speed Automatic on the Floor, Power Steering, Center Console, Bucket Seats, Non-Power Folding Convertible Top, Factory AM Push Button Radio, Deluxe SPRINT Simulated Spoke PMD Hubcaps . . . . and more. A 1978 WS6 rust free black on tan TRANS AM number match Pontiac 400 6.6 liter engine, Burg Warner 4 speed tranny with T-TOP, and the car has 86k original documented miles from Arizona dept. of motor vehicles.
When I purchased the car it was in great shape with miner issues for a 30 year old car, the car went through a frame on restoration, the body was stripped to the metal and taken apart to get it ready for paint, all the flares, spoilers, grilles, lights, side markers, door handles, locks, weather-stripping and weather-stripping framing, doors, hood and trunk lid were off the car.
Each piece was given the proper attention in prepping; the body was blocked and prepped properly before the car was painted a solid black color in base coat clear coat paint.
All the pieces were put back with new gaskets on locks and door handles, new moldings on flared spoilers plus weather-stripping.
The paint was color sanded and buffed to mirror shine, new decals were installed, and the WS6 WHEELS were prepped and painted to orig. factory color.
The interior is all new original OER from Classic Industries, carpet, front and rear Lombardi hobnail seats, headliner and door panels, the original dash has been profession ally capped, new trunk carpet, new inner accessories to make the stand out in the restoration from all others because we take the time to fellow all the little details.
The engine is original 86k original miles, it was compression tested and fully tunes with new spark plugs, new power steering pump, sounds and performs excellent. The Burg Warner transmission shifts excellent through all gears with solid clutch, the car has stock posi 3.42 rear end and power disc brakes.
The entire engine and the under carriage were detailed properly, there is enough pictures to show the extend of this restoration.
