Jeep trials take test drive customers off-road

02 Apr 2006
An off-road driving day is to be offered to anyone who takes an on-road test drive in a Jeep vehicle from 1 April.

The legendary 4x4 manufacturer will give 4000 people the chance to take part in a Jeep Trials adventure day at events across the UK.

Steve Gray, Chrysler Group Marketing Director, said: Jeep Trials will offer customers the complete Jeep driving experience.

The test drive will demonstrate the vehicle's superb on-road driving dynamics, while the off-road driving day will demonstrate the 4x4 expertise that has made Jeep world-famous.

Test drives are available on the full range of Jeep vehicles, including the all-new Jeep Commander.

The first Jeep to have three rows of seats as standard, the Commander can accommodate up to seven passengers in comfort.

Powered by 3.0-litre V6 CRD diesel or 5.7-litre HEMI V8 petrol engines, depending on model, standard equipment includes ABS, ESP, a tyre-pressure warning light, body-coloured grille and17 alloy wheels.

Prices for the Commander start from £27,490 (OTR).

Other models in the Jeep range include the stylish Jeep Grand Cherokee, rugged Jeep Wrangler and the award-winning Jeep Cherokee.
