Four years after production stopped Chevy decided to pick up production in 1963 with the all new 64 El Camino, but this time on the Chevelle platform! The earlier models were first built on the Malibu platform and only saw 2 years of production 1959-1960. This particular El Camino was built in October 1963 out of the Kansas City Plant, just about one month after production begin to building the new El Camino.This El Camino has kept with almost all original specs keeping the 327 v8 motor and 4 speed manual transmission with bench seat. There will be no disappointments with this Black Beauty. She been completely restored and ready to roar. There are only a couple of minor flaws that i have pointed out in the photos. Heads spin and turn guaranteed. 1985 El Camino New Crate ZZ3 GM engine, new 700r4 HD trans with B&M shift kit, new drive shaft, exhaust and performance mufflers duals with headders, ...built for power. Edlebrock carb with hi rise intake. Less than 1,000 miles not documented but you can tell by looking, it has sat a lot more than run while being restored. Serpentine pully system from chevy truck. Lots of HP. I bought this as a partially finished project and it has had a ton of work as you can see. I think they were building a drag car but I went for the customized car look, I don't race. You have to see it to believe it but it will scream and drives like a dream. Custom dash gages, the rest inside is stock. Gas milage is surprisingly good, fun to drive and affordable. Passenger quarter replaced. Drivers door from Arizona, Passenger door from California, Passenger fender from Georgia, Drivers fender from Florida. Some of the Chrome new, some used. This car has been completely garage kept and barely driven since restored. This was a frame on restoration but is very clean underneath. Any and all rust on the body was removed and welded right. Any trim holes not used were welded. Has a 350 400 Horse power motor, Muncie factory 4 speed, Dynaflow exhaust with headers, Aluminum High rise Holley Carb, Polished heads, roller rockers, 10 bolt rear, Corvette 8'' rally rims, & Custom paint - Marina Blue With ghost flames. Over $7000.00 just in body work (paint, etc) No rust, this was a california car. The interior is in rough condition (pics) needs minor work. Bucket seats, driver seat will need to be refastened to the floor as the bolt is missing, or broken. I am not for sure.There are no mirrors on the doors. This is a very nice car!! - 1985 El Camino. Show and Go less than 1000 miles since completely restored, the engine is a fresh 454 with aluminum intake and duel 650s all new. It has big tube Hooker headers. With flowmaster mufflers and three-inch exhaust out the rear, this is all new. The transmission is a fresh 400 Turbo. The rear end is fresh with a spool to make it posi trac, 10 bolt. It also has new tires that are 195x60x15's in the front 295x50x15's in the rear. The paint is professionally done base, clear and two-tone over $3000 in paint alone. The body is close to perfect, no rust. New bed cover. The beautiful El Camino, that is ready to drive anywhere. Great cruiser, turns heads were over you go. - Hi, we paid $4000 for this car, via Mercum Auto Auction, and then put $2500 into the car upgrading everything from the ground up. This El Camino has a newly rebuilt 350 Chevy Engine, and an Edelbroch 4 barel carb, which alone cost $450. Ready to go anywhere, this car is a steal......We just need the money, that's why it's so cheap...... This car is mechanically sound, the brakes, although I rebuilt them in the past 18 months, will eventually need new front pads. Right now the car stops, and is safe to drive home, but the brake pedal does have a bit more play than it should. The only other issue, that is really minor, and that I hope to have resolved is the backlight to the speedometer guage is out. Might be a wire. The power doors work well, passenger door is missing the interior handle, and the windows are a bit sluggish. Connections need to be gone over periodically on El Camino's. The engine is fabulous.
