- up for auction is a 1963 ford falcon 2 dr hardtop . This car has a straight 6 engine that runs great with a automatic transmission that works great also. This car is driven all the time and it is a great tight car. The body has a few little bubbles on the quarter panels but it has no rust or rot. The paint on the car is about 20 years old but still shines great. The interior of the car is in good shape but the front seat needs to be recovered but the rest of it is in real good shape even the rug looks like new. this is a great little car to drive around and it has been my summer cruiser for years but times are getting tough and some things in life are more important so it has got to go!!! you will not be disappointed with this car. and also everything in this car works right down to the dome light. - I've replaced the starter and alt,had the front bucket seats recovered,the dash recovered,rear bumper recromed,new paint,and the windows tinted. It has a 200 c.i. motor that the guy I bought it from said had been recently overhauled.It runs good and shifts good. It has a new windshield wiper motor that works but I cant find the inside switch.I"ve run 2 wires inside to make them work.Also the heater fan motor doesent come on and the top of the rear seat needs recovered . All the glass is good and there was no rust on the car before I had it painted.The car has new inspection and reg.stickers on it.I have too many projects and need to sell some. Car is in el paso,tx. It has vintage ILL plates. It does have a exhaust system to meet NHRA reg on noise level. This car has been to a few car shows and is driven to them., not trailered. I do have more pictures. This car was a full time bracket car when I got it with no Eng or Trans.. This car was all done by Pros...at two shops here in the Chicago area. This car goes about 2850 lbs. The Eng is a Clevor that should pump out at least 700hp. ..This car passed NHRA in 2008. All that is needed now is new seat belts, NHRA only gives you 2 years on the belts and there dates are up and a new Trans shield or blanket. - Here it is my Falcon project, I bought as a project that I had every intention of finishing this year and with family going everywere, baseball, football, cheering, you name it. I just haven't had time to complete it and now I need the space. With that being said I would just assume finish it than give it away so if you don't want a project this far along go no further as I am not losing a bunch of money just to open up the space. With that out of the way here's the specs: Originally it was an Oklahoma car RUST FREE! It was completely stripped and epoxy primed before being painted black witch I beleive to be original color. The interior has been completely cleaned and painted red which is the original color. HE SAID THE CAR ORIGINATED IN OHIO BUT I DID NOT CHECK IT OUT. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT BECAUSE I HAD OWNED ONE AS A YOUNG MAN IN 1967 JUST LIKE THIS ONE. THE CAR HAS THE 260 V8 AND IT IS SO ORIGINAL IT STILL HAS THE GENERATOR. IT IS AN ORIGINAL 4 SPEED CAR ALSO WITH A HURST SHIFTER. THE CAR IS LICENSED AND INSURED AND RUNS OK AS IS.
