- 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII This car has been a pleasure to have the last few years that I have owned it and have no doubt it will prove to be a strong car for years to come. The DOHC 32valve 4.6l V8 is the same motor that was used in the Mustang Cobra and truly makes this car a Hot Rod Lincoln. The motor runs quiet, the transmission shifts smooth, and the the mechanical parts of the car have been meticulously maintained and replaced as needed over the years. Every 10,000 miles or so the motor would get a seafoam treatment to blow carbon deposits out of the engine to keep it as efficient and powerful as possible, the oil I have used is Mobil1 synthetic (changed every 3000 miles), and the ignition system has been completely upgraded to a high output/efficient MSD system with iridium spark plugs (less than 4000 miles ago).
