- This is a very nice original 1976 Trans Am in the low production color of Carousel Red. The original black interior is in excellent condition. No cracks in the dash or other issues to discuss. All lights and gauges work. The original AM/FM radio works as well as the original 8 track player. There is no rust bubbles on any of this cars panels. The original plugs are still in both rear quarters. This car is solid and the doors shut very nice. The paint is in very good condition and still has lots of shine. The original matching numbers 400 starts right up and the choke works. The clutch was just replaced as it was just starting to slip a little. The car drives well and is mechanically sound. This is a car that has not been modified or played with. It is collector kept, and always garaged and covered. I have included a picture of the original build sheet for the car. - !!!! WOW !!!! This is probably the nicest Anniversary Trans Am for Sale. It is museum quality, out of a private North Carolina collection. Since most of the late seventy early eighties GM cars had a clear coat problem, this car was no exception. Therefore it was professionally repainted. The paint is as close to a 10 as I have seen. It is absolutely gorgeous. Exposed parts of the under carriage were given a very light chassis black treatment to prevent surface rust. The original tires will come with the car. They are suitable for display but, are mostly square. The TA's are new and ride real nice. Pontiac made just 1817 copies of this car, making them very rare and collectible. The wheels on this car have not been sanded or machine polished. They are the just the way they left the factory. I think they would look great polished but, that would be up to you. - We have had this rare FACTORY ORIGINAL "Smokey & the Bandit" Trans Am in our collection since November of 2008. The previous owner sold it to us as "restored" and all-original, and from the looks of it I agree. We have the original build sheet and I have reviewed it in detail and compared it to data on 78ta.com. Here are some notable build sheet documentations; 2W87Z8N verifies original Trans Am (not clone), L78 (V-8 400 4-BBL), G80 (positraction), WS4 (Trans Am), WW7 (Firebird hood emblem), WX3 (R/A SHAKER HOOD). If there is any additional information you would like from the build sheet, please shoot me an email. We were told it is matching numbers but I really don't know where to check; if there is somewhere you can lead me to, please send an email. - 1979 Pontiac Trans am 10th anniversary True survivor!!! Many say their cars are survivors but repainted or some other explanation for it not being a true survivor but this is the real deal finally on Ebay. The ONLY paint work that has been done on this car is the wheel flares, my technicians did the paint in base coat clear coat so it will be much stronger than original. The correct flare stripes will go on this week they are the factory moulded type not just two stripes that are cut and trimmed.By the way the flares match PERFECTLY!!!! This car is originally out of George there it had two owners, the second was good friends with the first I was told, I bought the car from the third owner with intentions of having it displayed with my 69 Judge and my Black 79 S/E with 4000 miles, things have changed and I have to part with the car. - Used Pontiac Trans Am for sale

- 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe. Texas car. 403 ci engine. TH 350 Automatic transmission. 3:73 rear differential posi. Hooker headers. True dual exhaust. Stock suspension. Atlantis blue paint. The car has some paint blemishes and light rust in typical areas ( see photos ). Underside of the car has no holes or rot. Rust areas are at the hinge joints.Newer door hinge pins. The rocker panel on the drivers side is pushed in from previous shipping ( no rust in this area ). The car runs and drives great ( plenty of torque and power ). New belts, alternator, oil sending unit, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor. Edelbrock carb. The rear brakes need shoes. The interior is fair. Hobnail cloth in Sky Blue. I have two extra front seats, black trim pieces ( sail panels, side panels with arm rests, perimeter trim ). I also have some new weather stripping pieces. Some pieces have already been replaced. - this car has been very reliable,daily driver, original FL car. never seen snow....taken on long trips with no issues.#'s matching, motor has never been rebuilt. AC is cold, 5.0 liter w/ hypertech chip, B&M trans kit, 3" stainless exhaust w/ flowmasters and K&N filter. Adult owned.recently replaced brakes, battery and alternator. headlight and hatchmotor work great and t-tops don't leak. 25mpg on hwy....tires 8 month old. greay cloth interior, back seat in great condition, new heaadliner, 2 small wear marks in drivers seat. Kenwood cd deck with USB and 700watt amp. interior never cut or hacked up. Spoiler has a few cracks as usual but can be refinished, 2 small chips in paint on hood. hood scoop is on with 3m tape can be easily removed. No dents or dings in any body panels.
