Sold new to a US Captain stationed in Germany, the car has enjoyed knowledgeable ownership from PCA members and professional service throughout its life. This is an original Euro spec car with factory Euro heat exchangers, amber turnlights, below bumper reflectors and Euro headlight lenses. The car is correct in every way as delivered in Germany in May 1963! Careful ownership and professional service preserved the car to its highly collectable condition today. The motor and transaxle was rebuilt 8 years ago and the beautiful Ruby Red paint was redone last summer. - 1965 Porsche 356C Coupe, California car, in great driver quality condition. Engine is newly rebuilt with only a few thousand miles on it. The work was done professionally by Deutsche Motor Sports in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have receipts for over $10k for this recent work. The car runs and drives perfectly. The gaps on the car are very good. The doors shut well, and the hood and decklid line up with uniform gaps. The paint is older but entirely presentable, and the interior is still in good shape other than some significant wear in the carpet. - Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better. Time to raise your sights. According to the Kardex, an Oslo Blue 356B-T6 with red leatherette interior left the factory in October of 1963 and was delivered to a customer in Europe. Soon thereafter, the Porsche factory switched over to the 356 C line. The factory options were driver's side arm rest (passenger side has since been added), European heat system, seat belts (left and right), lighting and Hella 128 fog lamps. Sometime in the late 60's or early 70's, it was imported to the U.S. and submitted to the 356 Registry by an engineer working at JPL in Southern California. It changed hands twice more, both times to other JPL employees. The then present owner repainted it silver. Years later he started a winery in San Diego and decided to sell the car in 2002 to a shirt-tail relative who was looking for a 356 to restore. - I am the 3rd documented owner of this rust free California car.She is a 1963,356 ,color is Smyrna Green with Tan interior.Let me start by saying that she has just completed a fully documented engine out rebuild and reseal and fully color coded to original spec.The suspension is super solid ,brakes are fully done as well,she has a full new clutch system as well .She has a full undercarriage rotisserie rust treatment and powder coating. All work stated was completed appox 1 month ago at Rennwerks Porsche Tech (Cheech Fernandez)here in Westchester. So she purrs at 80mph with room to go. The body is a very straight and the paint shines extremely nice. She was resprayed by the last owner almost 6 years ago but she shows so nicely.She was resprayed in the correct color code for the rare Smyrna Green of 1963. There are a few nicks and chips in the paint but no dents or rust,and the battery area was also just replaced.The chrome shines really nice,and the glasses are very clear. - Used Porsche 356 for sale
