- History You are bidding on a 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta, 101 Body Series. This actual model is extremely rare , as it is a transitional body style from the 750 Series (as it can be seen by the newer 101-Style doors with the 750-Style tail lights). I purchased this car with the intention of putting her through a complete restoration, but I have way too many project cars and I decided to find her a good new home. I am also selling a 1972 Spider Veloce shell, professionally stripped and blasted. Please click here to see that auction . About This Alfa When I purchased the car, the previous owner said that the body had only minor rust bubbles here and there. Well that was not a true statement. The car appears to be solid, but there is rust on the front of the floor pans and the inner rockers, under the car. All panels appear to be original (even the floor panels). I didn’t see any evidence of repair. The trunk has a support bar welded on the inside (not visible from the outside), I have no idea why. - Used Alfa Romeo Spider for sale

Paint is good, seats are nice, roof is in good condition. Tires about 25%. Windshield & all glass nice. Mileage is exempt but probably actual. Bid with confidence, this is a good car! - The Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider bodied by Carrozzeria Touring is referred to in Alfa circles as the “cast iron” 2000 to distinguish it from the later 1970s aluminum-engined 2000 Spider. It has all the looks you’d expect from a late-’50s Italian touring car- the embodiment of the period of “La Dolce Vita”. While these now rare cars have long been poorly compared with the smaller Giuliettas and later 2600s, they have a great appeal all their own. They are smooth and refined, and frankly not as heavy to maneuver as the later 2600s. They’re terrific to drive, not the fastest, nor the most “tossable”, but a great combination of lightness and stability. The 1975cc DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine with twin two-barrel Dell’orto carburetors puts out 115hp through the 5-speed transmission. - INCREDIBLE FIND!!! BOUGHT FROM AN ESTATE. THE CAR HAS BEEN STORED SINCE 2000. PROPERLY W/ FUEL PRESERVER IN THE TANK. THE MECHANICS GOT IT RUNNING WITH A NEW BATTERY AND A TURN OF THE KEY. WE DON'T KNOW IF THE MILES ARE ORIGINAL OR OVER. ALL THE RECEIPTS THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WERE WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED MILES OF THE CURRENT ODO READING. AS YOU CAN SEE THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST RUST FREE SPIDER YOU WILL EVER SEE..NO VISIBLE RUST IN ANY OF THE NORMAL SPIDER PLACES. I HAVE TAKEN PICS OF AS MUCH OF THE UNDERSIDE AS I COULD. I CAN TAKE MORE IF I MOVE THE CAR ON THE CAR HAULER. ALL FLUIDS IN THE CAR HAVE BEEN CHANGED, COOLANT, OIL, TRANSMISSION, REAR END, BRAKE RES. THE CAR STARTS AND ORIGINAL FUEL INJECTION IS FUNCTIONING GREAT.. THE BAD! THE TOP IS ABIT WEAK, MEANING IT HAS SOME WEAR FROM BEING STORED FOR SO LONG. THE CAR WAS STORED IN LAS VEGAS IN THE PREVIOUS OWNERS GARAGE.
